How do I return an item?

We've broken down the information about returns and exchanges because there are a few things to consider. Take a look below.

Letting us know about your return

Returning an item with a Registered Account?

Here's how:

  1. Go to Your Orders ( you'll need to sign in)
  2. Select the order which contains the item(s) you wish to return.
  3. Click 'Return an Item'
  4. Enter the quantity of the items you're returning and select the 'Return Reason' from the menu
  5. Choose your preferred return option and click 'submit return'. (Depending on the products you may be able to choose to return to any Asda Store*, Collect+ location, or by Post)
  6. Follow the instructions shown on screen to complete your return and please make sure items are well packaged for the return journey

Returning an item with a Guest Account?

  • If you're a guest customer ( you haven't registered an account with us ), you can use the Track Your Order link to access the order details
  • Follow the above instructions 3 - 6 to return your parcel(s)

Please note:

It can take 2-3 weeks for your returns to get back to our warehouse, depending on the return method you chose. When we receive the items we'll send an email to let you know that your refund has been processed. It takes approximately 3-5 days from this point for the refund to show in your account. If it's not in your account after this time, please contact us on the link below.

Return Methods Available

Return to store?

You can return any Small to Medium items up to 60x60x90cm back to any Asda store.

Please visit our store locator to find your nearest store and follow the following simple steps.

  • Re-package your item(s) as shown on the Delivery Note and include the Delivery Note with the parcel
  • Attach Returns Label from the delivery note to the parcel. You can also print this at home via: www.toyou.co.uk/client/George or at the Click & Collect / toyou service point in store
  • Take the package to the Click & Collect / toyou service point in any Asda store where you can either use the self-service Touchscreen terminal to process your return or a colleague will be on-hand to assist you further.
  • An exchange of item may be also possible subject to availability.

Return via Collect+

You can also return items up to 50x30x30cm and less than 10kgs to any one of the 5000 Collect+ stores, free of charge.

Visit www.collectplus.co.uk/asda to find your nearest Collect+ location.

  • Please remember to complete and include the Delivery Note with the parcel
  • You can Create and Print a Returns Label at: www.collectplus.co.uk/asda
  • Take the parcel to your chosen Collect+ location
  • Once your parcel has been scanned you will be given a receipt with a 7-digit reference code, which you can use to track your order at www.collectplus.co.uk/track/new

Return by Post

You can of course return any items by Post to the below address

Please remember to re-package your item(s) as shown on the Delivery Note, include the Delivery Note with the parcel.

Please note the Post Office will charge for this service. We recommend that you ask for a free Certificate of Posting as this may help you if your parcel goes missing whilst in their distribution network.

If you would like to return any Large sized item(s)

  • Please call one of our George Online Colleagues to arrange a collection between 7am and 11pm (GMT/BST), 7 days a week on 0800 9520101 (Option 2) Calls are free from a BT landlines, however calls from other service providers and mobile networks may vary.
  • Preparing your packaging and include the returns note stating reason for return.
  • Our driver will collect your parcel on your chosen collection date.
  • A refund will be processed once it has been received back at our warehouse. Refunds can take up to 14 days from your collection date to appear in your account.

It can take 2-3 weeks for returns to get back to our warehouse, depending on the return method you chose. When we get it we'll send an email to let you know that your refund has been processed. It takes 3-5 days from this point for the refund to show in your account. If it's not in your account after this time, please contact us on the link below.

Returning Wine?

Wine can be returned to any Superstore or Supermarket. Unfortunately, it cannot be returned to an Asda Living Store as they do not have a licence to store alcohol on the premises.

How long do I need to wait for my refund?

Additional Policy Information

If you bought the item within the last 30 days?
You can return the item unused and in a re-sellable condition for a full refund.
There are however some exclusions which are listed below:

  • Gift cards unless faulty or damaged
  • Items which cannot be resold for health and hygiene reasons once unwrapped (e.g. pierced jewellery, mattresses, personal grooming items, medicines and certain baby items)
  • Items which have been installed using our installation service
  • Gift experiences, please take a look at the Terms & Conditions

Please also note our 100 day Satisfaction Guarantee

If for any reason you're not satisfied with your George Clothing or George Home product, simply return it within 100 days with proof of purchase for a refund or exchange. This applies to George branded products only. If you no longer have the receipt or proof of purchase, any refund would be on to a gift card at the last selling price.

There are however a few exclusions which are

  • Hair accessories
  • Pierced jewellery
  • Watches
  • Mattresses
  • Personal Grooming items
  • Indoor & Outdoor furniture

International Item Return?

Please follow the below steps:

  1. Download and print the International Returns Form.
  2. Repack the item along with the completed returns form
  3. Send back to: George and Asda Online, PO Box 9564, Newark, NG24 9GF, United Kingdom
  4. We may not be able to process your return without the International Returns Form, so please don't forget to include the completed form. We recommend you use a postal service that insures your contents and gives you proof of postage.
